Every year tons of Swedish wool gets burned or thrown away, so Aveva started a Swedish wool project to take part in changing that.

Birds are creative and smart makers, and who knows better where & how they want to live than themselves? Birds love wool, but it can be hard for them to find. This Do-It-Yourself birdhouse will help them in their creative process to build a warm and protective home. Just simply hang out the material on a branch and wait for it to be used.

Founded by designer Eva Gassne-Jeckelmann, Aveva is located in Limhamn, Sweden.

Aveva has reimagined hand-felted wool for today, which means keeping old traditions of craft alive.

Aveva uses natural materials that are friendly to the environment. Throughout the whole design process, their goal is to work as locally as possible, produce less, and use smart packaging with the goal of reducing the negative impact on our planet.

"Introducing new items to this world is not the answer. We are not going to just stumble over a solution. So how can we justify designing and producing new pieces?

We have stuck to our principals and only work with natural, biodegradeable, and long lasting materials. Our products are handmade in a socially responsible way, and we only produce what is desired to satisfy demand.

Our products are timeless and highly durable, and designed to last a lifetime. This means less waste. And once they are no longer needed, they can be returned to nature.

By adopting craft techniques rather than mass production, we keep good control of our production and avoid overproduction. To ensure high and consistent quality, all products are sent from our warehouse in Malmö after a quality check.
