Liljeholmen's tealights are made from stearin based solely on the renewable raw material tallow. The stearin in the tealights comes from a Swedish stearin supplier. [Some tea lights from other brands are made from 100% stearin based on palm oil. Palm oil is a controversial product that is resource-efficient, but has gained a bad reputation because rainforests have been destroyed to replace them with palm oil plantations.]

Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik is located in the Småland town of Oskarshamn and is the world's largest manufacturer of candles and one of Sweden's oldest companies still in operation. In 2024 Liljeholmen's Stearinfabrik celebrated 185 years!
