The folk inspired Nordic Julia kit is a great project to make, or gift.  Especially fun to make together with someone ~ perhaps at an ASI Virtual Maker's Morning.

Gnomes in Sweden, are called Tomtar.   Originating in Nordic folklore, Tomtar were seen as protectors of farms, usually keeping busy with their watch at night.

Flexible difficulty - keep it simple by using the most basic back stitch throughout, or increase the challenge with chain stitches, French knots, or more as a modern embroidery sampler.
