The Birch Tree is one of 53 native tree species to Minnesota, particularly the Paper Birch which was adeptly used by Native American people in Minnesota for transportation, housing, and everyday items.  A good conversation starter when you use your beautifully designed Birch Forest Table Runner at your next smörgåsbord, or place some lovely vases and candles on it for display.

Lapuan Kankurit is part of the Masters of Linen organization, which guarantees that the flax they use is of the best European quality.

Ecological flax is grown in Normandy, Europa and it is traceable 100% European Masters of Linen long staple linen yarn. All yarns are spun as well as dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and fulfil the ÖKO-TEX certificate requirements.

The products are woven in Lapuan Kankurit's own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland, in the heart of South Ostrobothnia’s fields.

Lapuan Kankurit began in 1917, when the family established their first textile factory. Today Lapuan Kankurit is lead by the fourth generation of weavers, together with capable and committed top professionals of the weaving industry.
