Mid-weight Fair Isle alpaca socks with a 1″ elastic band knit at the top of the sock. These socks were designed by Mary Ann Weerts, the founder of Tey Art. A smaller micron yarn was used to create this more intricate design. This is a great trouser sock for work as this is a mid weight sock. These are still soft, warm and very comfortable yet lighter weight and not as thick in your shoe or boot. These are one of Mary Ann’s favorite style of socks.

Alpaca, 34% Acrylic, 23% Nylon and 2% Spandex.

Key attributes of Alpaca:
-More than twice as warm as sheep’s wool
-Three times stronger than sheep’s wool
-Water resistant
-Excellent wrinkle resistance
-Incredibly soft and resilient…even more so than cashmere
-Elevated color brightness due to its natural luster
-Semi-hollow fiber that gives it unusual thermal warmth
-Unlike sheep’s wool there is no lanolin and therefore less allergenic

Medium: 5-9, Large: 10-13
Sizing is by shoe size and the socks are unisex

Machine wash cold, do not bleach, tumble dry low and do not iron.

Tey-Art was founded in 2001 by Mary Ann Weerts and is based in Minnesota.

The name Tey-Art denotes Textiles and Artistry. The key components of that vision are a commitment to natural, sustainable fibers such as alpaca, wool and cotton and to work fairly with skilled artisans in Peru, many of whom are located high in the Andes mountains.
