For over 100 years, Swedes have been consuming licorice, which has long been a big favorite on the candy shelf. On average, Swedes consume 2 kg of licorice per person annually, which makes Sweden one of the world's largest licorice countries.
Syrup, rice flour, cane sugar, invert sugar, licorice powder (6%), humectants: sorbitol, salt, anise oil. Surface treatment agents: carnauba wax, vegetable oil (coconut oil).
Lakritsfabriken was founded in Sweden in 2011 by Martin Jörgensen. If you find yourself in Ramlösa, Sweden you can visit the factory! After Jörgensen experimented with growing licorice in his personal garden and having success, Lakritsfabriken began growing their own licorice root for their factory.
