The Cowslip Primrose ('Gullviva' in Swedish) is the iconic flower of Närke, which is a Swedish province in south central Sweden. Gullviva blooms in Spring and is often seen in fields and at May Day celebrations in Sweden.

As a working mother with limited time, Minnesotan Lisa Rydin Erickson began her artistic career drawing on her iPad on her bus commute to work; within a year she had created hundreds of drawings.
