The Forget Me Not ('Förgätmigej' in Swedish) is the iconic flower of Swedish province Dalsland, where 'Friluftsliv' (the Nordic concept of open air living) is always top of mind with it's plentiful lakes and forests (just like Minnesota!).

As a working mother with limited time, Minnesotan Lisa Rydin Erickson began her artistic career drawing on her iPad on her bus commute to work; within a year she had created hundreds of drawings. Receiving positive responses to her work, she had her designs professionally printed and we are now lucky to share her work with you at The American Swedish Institute! Lisa is inspired by the beauty of nature, and in particular the cards available at the ASI Retail Store are inspired by the flora of the provinces of Sweden.
