If you live in Skåne, the southern part of Sweden, you can’t escape the vast fields. But if you look really close you could see some hills. In the northwest of Skåne there is a region called Kullaberg, meaning something like ‘Hilly mountains’. The highest peak reaches an impressive height of 187,5 meters and is a great spot for overlooking the sea. 

Like the cat sensed, it’s a great spot to reflect and refuel.

Founded by designer Eva Gassne-Jeckelmann, Aveva is located in Limhamn, Sweden.

Aveva has reimagined hand-felted wool for today, which means keeping old traditions of craft alive.

Aveva uses natural materials that are friendly to the environment. Throughout the whole design process, their goal is to work as locally as possible, produce less, and use smart packaging with the goal of reducing the negative impact on our planet.

"Introducing new items to this world is not the answer. We are not going to just stumble over a solution. So how can we justify designing and producing new pieces?

We have stuck to our principals and only work with natural, biodegradeable, and long lasting materials. Our products are handmade in a socially responsible way, and we only produce what is desired to satisfy demand.

Our products are timeless and highly durable, and designed to last a lifetime. This means less waste. And once they are no longer needed, they can be returned to nature.

By adopting craft techniques rather than mass production, we keep good control of our production and avoid overproduction. To ensure high and consistent quality, all products are sent from our warehouse in Malmö after a quality check.
