Originally released in 1952, The Little Toy was designed to inspire creative construction through a series of colorful panels, wireframes and connectors. For playing cards, the components were used to create a minimal numbering system where the small connectors act as edge markings for quick reference.

The Eameses created The Little Toy as a small variation of The Toy. In contrast to its larger predecessor, which was made for people to play “in,” Charles and Ray made this design for children and adults to play “with.”  Using the primary shapes and colors from The Little Toy these playing cards bring new life to the Eames classic composed within the constraints of of a small card.  The design of the box references the famous home built by Charles and Ray, a creative base where they lived for many years.
