The Ekshärad Sot Cotton Blanket is made in Öjbro Vantfabrik's Ekshärad design. This design is inspired by Värmland smithery and patterned and dyed in traditional colours. There are over 500 iron crosses in the cemetery in Ekshärad. Iron crosses are still being manufactured in the Stjärnfors forge and an inspiration for this design.
100% Merino Wool
Merino wool is a great year-round blanket option! The benefits include...&
-Temperature control: Merino wool fibers trap air to create warmth in the winter, AND when it is hot outside the wool stores moisture as your body warms ~ cooling you down as the moisture evaporates.
-No itch and scratch: Merino wool fibers are short, so they do not break (which is the leading cause of that itchy scratchy feeling you've had in days of yore).
-Merino wool is antibacterial in itself without treatment, so you do not need to wash them as often, the best washing advice is to hang the blanket on airing overnight if necessary.

Inspiration from Nature, Work and People
"I get so much inspiration through nature and through my work, my work is not only my work but it is my life. I feel so lucky and so grateful. For me, a pattern is not a detached thing without context. Creating patterns with a long lifespan, I believe, is my most important contribution to a more beautiful and greener world. It's my passion." ~ Åse Öjbro
